#4-2 "Coffee"

Espresso Color

by 돈신

Add water, it becomes a dark Americano

Add milk, it becomes a milky Latte

Add chocolate, it becomes a brown Mocha

People have colors too

Add anger, a person rages red

Add sadness, a person deflates blue

Add joy, a person smiles gold

But Coffee relaxes all these colors

See the fragrance of Coffee,

Smell the color of Coffee,

Coffee is deep, indeed

It makes you think.

A cup of coffee a day may keep the doctor away?

by 릴리찡

A cup of morning coffee has become ritualistic for many today. It is an essential for most college students who need to pull off all nighters and wake up for 8AM’s. On top of keeping us up and alert throughout the day, coffee has numerous other benefits as well. Recent research has shown that drinking coffee every day may reduce one’s risk of developing heart disease, type II diabetes, as well as certain types of cancer. Coffee is also associated with slowing or preventing cognitive decline, thereby reducing the risk of Alzheimer’s disease. Not only that, many women will be glad to know that caffeine raises metabolism and helps burn fat. However, we must remember that overdosing on caffeine (or any other psychoactive drug) is never a good idea. Caffeine, a stimulant, can have side effects such as jitteriness, insomnia, and fatigue. We must be moderate in our consumption of coffee and not become reliant on this morning ritual.
