아카펠라2 인연의 힘 [객원필진 Anonymous] 이 글은 2011년 봄학기에 IEOR (산업공학)전공으로 졸업예정이신 선배님께서 기고해 주셨습니다. 버클리 오피니언에 글을 써달라는 부탁을 받았을 때 솔직히 부끄러운 마음이 먼저 들었다. 딱히 내세울 것이 없기 때문이다. GPA가 그렇게 높지도 않고 영어를 아주 잘하는 것도 아니다. 뒤를 봐주는 어른들이 있는 것은 더더욱 아니다. 하지만 필자에게는 분명 평범한 유학생들이 갖고 있지 않은 자산이 있다. 적지 않은 나이에서 오는 연륜과 다양한 배경의 친구들이 그것이다. 졸업을 앞둔 대학 선배가 후배들에게 허심탄회하게 들려주는 이야기로 받아들여지는 마음에 몇 자 적어본다. 다소 과장된 말일 수도 있으나 대다수의 유학생들은 미국 도착과 동시에 일종의 선택을 해야 한다. 다른 한국인 유학생들과 주로 어울릴 것인가.. 2011. 4. 19.
