I Don't Want to Go To Hakwon On May 6th, a poetry book called A Single Dog (솔로 강아지) written by 10-year-old Lee Soonyoung was recalled by Publisher Gamoonbi for the brutal content of some of its poems. In the center of the controversy lies a poem called “On a Day You Don’t Want to Go to Hakwon,” (hakwon is the Korean term for cram school/private institute) which is about cooking and eating her mom. 박근혜 정부, 외교마저…. 박근혜 대통령 정부가 출범한 지 2년이 지났다. 임기 초 윤창중 사태부터 세월호 참사, 그리고 이번 이완구 총리 뇌물 수수 의혹까지 정말 바람 잘날 없는 정부다. 털어 먼지 안 나는 정권 하나 없었다지만, 필자는 다른 문제보다 박근혜 정부가 걷고 있는 외교 정책에 큰 우려를 표하고 싶다. 박근혜 정부는 역대 어느 정부보다도 중국과 가깝게 지내고 있다. 임기의 반이 지났지만 여전히 일본과의 정상회담은 단 한차례도 없었던데 반해 중국 시진핑 주석과는 이미 여러 차례 회담을 가지며 ‘역대급’ 친밀도를 보여주고 있다. 한국과 중국이 일본의 역사인식(그리고 영토분쟁)에 대한 입장에서 이해관계의 일치를 찾은 것이 주요했다. 양국은 일본의 역사 인식에 우려를 표하면서 위안부 공동연구에 착수하고 위안부 백서를 창설 제.. 2015. 4. 28.
